British
music group formed in 1975 in London and performing punk rock. The team became
the embodiment of the punk subculture, and its members - the initiators of the
so-called "punk revolution" in the UK. His creativity and ideology
Sex Pistols inspired a lot of artists of the later period, representing
virtually all areas of rock music. The group is considered one of the most
influential bands of the 1970s.
Initially the Sex Pistols singer Johnny Rotten
were, guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook and bassist Glen Matlock, and as
impresario Malcolm McLaren team played. In early 1977, Matlock was replaced by
Sid Vicious.
