Madame Tussaud‘s, was born in 1761 year in Strasbourg in France, and the art of wax sculptures learned from the employer of his mother's well-known physician Philip Кюртюса, successfully posed figures from wax, but in 1776, even putting their works to a wider audience. Mary was an apt pupil, and in 16 years established the first wax statue - the statue of Voltaire.
In 1802, Madame Tussauds moved to London many years of traveling to England with a traveling exhibition of wax figures. In 1835, the sons of persuaded Mary to open the first permanent exhibition of the figures in the house in Baker street, which immediately won the love of the Londoners.
